Allied American University is committed to providing online distance education degree programs for a diverse population of adult learners in a student-centered academic environment. Vision & Institutional Objectives
Allied American University's vision is to be a respected leader in providing quality, affordable instruction resulting from a system of clear communication of mission, goals, and objectives; and to a continuous process of self-examination tied to data collection and analysis. In pursuing this vision, AAU strives to fulfill the following institutional objectives:
- Offer a dynamic, interactive distance education environment which engages students in the learning process through a multi-media learning experience and through systematic contact with faculty and student support advisors

Effective Written and Oral Communication
Allied American University promotes the development of effective oral and written communication skills that lead to the clear expression of ideas, feelings, and information in a purposeful manner. Effective communication has the benefit of building trust and respect through honest and direct discourse.
Critical Thinking
AAU believes that one of the most important outcomes of its curriculum is that its students develop a disciplined process of actively conceptualizing, analyzing, and applying information that enables them to use that information as a guide to action. Skills of critical thinking include development and use of essential tools of inquiry; and purposeful, self-regulatory judgment that results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Taken together, these skills should lead to reflective thought and a tolerance for ambiguity.
